Marcel is quiet, curious, and most of the time very afraid. When his boredom-fueled curiosity leads him into his father's study, he unknowingly sets himself on a path of great misadventure. Marcel never could have imagined that he would learn about bravery, kindness, and standing up for himself with Vikings. He still hasn't learned how to read, but he learns something just as important.
